KEEPING IN CONTACT (KIC)

At Connections we value young people’s views, thoughts and ideas for making us better. Get in touch, and stay connected.

When you come to Connections, we will give you your own KIC (Keep In Contact) card that includes a contact number that you can use even after you have left Connections, in order to stay connected.

OH YES, we still want to know how you are!

SOCIAL WORKER/LINK WORKER

At Connections, individuals have a Social Worker who visits them regularly. Your Social Worker is responsible for links with your family. Connections cannot make certain decisions regarding you without consulting you and your Social Worker.

COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE

You will be given a form so that you can help us help you achieve your goals; we are always looking for new ways to improve our service.

FOR PROFESSIONALS

As a responsible independent organization we work closely with local authorities and their social workers. We are here to support you by proving the very best accommodation, mentoring support and a safe transition into adulthood and independent living. We offer a variety of packages from high risk, low independent living skills and/or asylum seekers. We cater for children in care aged 16-18. We also cater for young adults leaving care and facing the challenges of assuming adulthood and independence.

EXPERIENCE

Connections was founded by two Specialist Mental Health Nurses and a Social Worker. The experienced team prides itself of a good understanding of the needs of young individuals in care and those leaving care. The team is passionate about supporting young people who have experienced trials and tribulations in their life.
